LOTS OF PICTURES

Sorry this took so long for me to write. It has been busy and have been getting home at like 11:00 pm. So sorry for the long delay. Here are some pictures with different stories. So I will try my best to describe them in a detailed manor but make it short and sweet. So here are my efforts.

We went to our church plant and we passed out fliers to come see the VBS outreach called "Remi". In the show, there are puppets, clowns, and tons of dancing. The kids were semi-responsive. We also painted faces and gave out balloon animals. That was Hannah's job. Nick and David were the puppets. Christina and I were the clowns and we danced the night away. There is also another children's outreach that Hannah and Christina are in. It is a pirate show and they dance with mops. It is the cutest show!

Chuck is one crazy guy! He bounces all over the scaffolding. He works by himself, and it is so fun watching him work. It makes me proud! :)

Down here, there is a limited types of drinks. It is the same every meal, which isn't a bad thing, it just get monotonous. But it still fills us up.

The landscape around here is so crazy beautiful. Yes, Argentina is a poor country (in some parts), but you can learn to see beauty in little things. It amazes me at how different things are, and to take it all in. This is one great adventure, and once in a life time opportunity. I am extremely blessed to be here!

Man, off topic. Well, Dad and Mom went to go see Dad's cousin, Melody. Nick and I didn't get to go, but they went to Buenos Aires and got the tour. They said that she is so fun and reminds them of Aunt Gail.

For one of our "church services", we got to play games and get to know each other more. One of the games was "There's a bear". It was so funny to hear the Brazilians to say "there's" because their tongue isn't used to making the "TH" sound. So it made for a good laugh. Plus, one guy, couldn't even remember the saying. All this to say, they kept saying it, lifting up arms and legs, and at the very end.......... Domino affect. Very nice. :-D

We have been making lots of different types of friends. Our church pastor's name is Neil, and he is stinkin' hilarious. All the Brazilian teens are very fun. They like High School Musical and it is fun to try to talk to them. They are all fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. Some mad skills.

January 16

Hey! Here are some pictures from today. Dad helped Chuck Bunch (he's from our church) with some construction. He got a little break from his maintenance job. I didn't get to see him, but mom took pictures of him. Nick and I got to go to a children's center and painted the outside, the kitchen, and a bathroom. The police prayed and made us some REALLY good steak. MMM! Hannah and Christina got to go swimming today. They have been making some bookmarks for the kids that they will be doing VBS for. It is so fun to have them tell me how excited they are to do this for the kids. Tonight we had another service. The Brazilians got here late last night, so we saw all of them today. They are the largest group under the US. There are 18 teens, so now we can add to our number from about 10 to 30 or so. It should be fun. The teens leader got here yesterday too. So we had a meeting, and it was just so cool of what kind of impact he wanted to make with us teens. He said that instead of different countries, we are all one team. He wants the newcomers to come and see one team, and not separated individuals. We are now to eat breakfast together, and we do all of the same projects. It should be fun. The Brazilian pastor talked tonight, so she talked in Spanish or Portuguese, not too sure which one. But she had a translator of about 16 yrs of age. It was cool. Here are some pictures from today! P.S. The picture with the four singing, they are singing in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian. Pretty cool.

The little boys name is Manuel. He is Pastor Roberto and Belen's son.

This is the neighborhood we are doing our evangelism. It is a REALLY NICE neighborhood. From what we are hearing, it is the nicest one. It is where all the rich people live. It is also one of the biggest places for drugs to be distributed. Crazy huh. Our evangelistic video we show is about an ex-drug dealer. So it fits pretty well.





This is our church group and the pastors church that attends. We all got together for worship and a service. It was fun and totally a culture shock. It was the first full day we were there. The family and church go-ers are so nice.

So beef. It is HUGE here. There are over 111 million cattle. So beef is pretty cheap and plentiful. They served us burgers with cheese and ham on it. Pretty delicious actually! I liked it.

On our way to the church (the first full day) we were pretty tired. Hannah just woke up. Dad has "sand paper" eyes. But you really can't tell.


Some of the houses on the way to our neighborhood. They all have fences of some sort and usually they are colorful, or not colorful at all. But this one is actually very nice. I like it. All the houses are really close to each other. They don't have much breathing room. But hey. Why do you need it when you are always out of it?
